Napoleon Moses has chaired the Department of Industrial Technology at Alcorn State University for the past eight years. He taught industrial technology at Mississippi State University and headed an industrial services unit there for eight years from 1981 through '89. He worked in telecommunications for two years and as a field engineer for Xerox for six years prior to joining Mississippi State.
     
He holds an undergraduate degree from Alcorn State University and graduate degrees from Mississippi State University. Dr. Moses developed the Diversified Technology program for the Mississippi Department of Education in 1985 and the Technology Discovery Program for the department in 1993. These programs provide high tech skills such as robotics and telecommunications to high school students in most school districts.
     
He is a member of the National Association of Industrial Technology and a member of the Mississippi Council of Education Technology where he represents the Mississippi Board of Education.
